Most people hate washing their swimsuit and the regular care and maintenance that is involved.
It can be tedious and time consuming. Not to mention, if you don’t want the elastic fibers in your suit to break down, you have to be extra careful! For one thing, it has to air dry. No dryer machines for suits. That’s a sure way to destroy it.
But what if you could just throw it away?
Say, “No More!” to Swimsuit Maintenence!
What if you didn’t have to do that anymore? “If you have one of designer Linda Loudermilk‘s new compostable swimsuits, you could just bury it in the garden.”Many designers are now creating swimsuits out of “repurposed parachutes, recycled plastic bottles, and wood pulp. Loudermilk’s swimwear is made from plant starch.” Isn’t that weird but kind of awesome? What will they think of next?
How Long Does it Take?
My first thought was, “How long does it take to dissolve into the earth?” Is this thing gonna immediately breakdown? Or will it take years?
“It can take up to 180 days for the bikinis to break down, once buried underground.”
So you don’t have to worry about it decomposing mid-swim. That’s a relief! Wouldn’t that be awkward.
UNDERWATER AUDIO WATERPROOF IPOD SHUFFLE
I know this blog has made you want to try out a compostable swimsuit. So, while you are swimming laps in tomorrow’s fertilizer, you may want some music to listen to in the background!
For that, you’ll need a Waterproof iPod Shuffle by Underwater Audio.
It is truly amazing and surreal. Trust me, you want one. It makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable! If you have any comments or questions, feel free to write us in the section below.
