Camping is one of my favorite pastimes. Especially in the summer. There’s nothing quite like going out into the wilderness and letting the problems of everyday life fade away for a weekend or so. Over the years, I have picked up a few ideas on how to better prepare and enjoy each trip.
One of the tips I live by is: waterproof gear. And I can explain why.
Let’s face it. You’re chances of being exposed to water are high on a camping trip. There’s always the chance of rain, and then there are activities that actually perpetuate the the idea of wetness.
Like: canoeing, fishing, collecting spring water etc. You don’t want to get your stuff all soggy but you know you’re likely to get splashed on.
