I always feel really accomplished after reading something that will improve some aspect of my life. Especially when it has to do with my current fitness goals. It makes me feel productive and on track towards the outcome I am reaching for.
This swimming book gets straight to business. Basically, it is a resource for specific drills you can do in the pool.

“The 100 Best Swimming Drills” By: BlYTHE LUCERO

blythe2If you are a visual learner, like I am, this book will really help you. There are many ways in which the author took time to, not only explain, but also illustrate the drills. “Each drill is explained step by step and accompanied by comprehensive diagrams. Drill feedback charts are included to help swimmers identify problems and make modifications.”
It is very important to practice, practice, practice until you get correct technique accomplished. Practice makes perfect, after all. “Drill practice is a swimmer’s primary tool in developing better stroke technique. Drills allow a swimmer to concentrate on a single aspect of a stroke at one time. By providing specific, repetitive practice, and immediate feedback, drills teach a swimmer to maximize efficiency while minimizing effort.”

BRING YOUR MUSIC TO THE POOl

I use a specific playlist to get in the zone. It’s ideal for helping me focus when I’m determined to fix my swim technique. With that said, I highly recommend trying one out!
