Delphin Controls, Setup, & App Guides

We recommend that first-time users follow this help page step by step, from top to bottom. First we will cover basic Delphin gestures and controls, then we will cover first time setup, and finally we will provide detailed guides on some of our favorite apps to use in the pool.

Use basic taps and swipes to navigate your Delphin, much like your smartphone!

Long-Press:

To add applications to your home screen.Hold down on your home screen until white borders appear, then select the space you want your favorite app to go and select it. Once you are satisfied with your home screen, click the back button to lock in your settings!

First Time Setup

You're about to walk through a visual, step-by-step setup guide. But first...

Charge your Delphin

The setup process will consume a lot of power! Be prepared by charging your Delphin fully before moving on.

Step 1

Select Timezone and WiFi

After turning on your Delphin for the first time, you'll be prompted to enter some basic info that your Delphin will need to function properly.

Follow the prompts on your Delphin

1. After starting the First Time Setup, select your timezone. Choosing an incorrect timezone can cause certain apps on the Delphin to misbehave.

2. Choose "Setup WiFi on Delphin" and select your home WiFi network.

3. Enter your WiFi password.

Step 2

Pick a few apps

After connecting to WiFi, you'll be prompted to select a few of our favorite apps to install. We recommend selecting the Amazon Appstore in addition to any other apps you'd like to have.

Simply check the boxes
1. Check the boxes next to any app you'd like to install during setup.

2. Press "Install Selected Apps" and wait. Your Delphin will now download and install your selected apps.

3. Be patient. If you chose several apps, this can take some time. Your Delphin is downloading a lot of data. Feel free to set your Delphin near your WiFi router and come back to it after it has had time to complete its installation.

Step 3

Prepare apps for the pool
Before you head to the pool, you will need to get your apps ready for offline use, as WiFi doesn't work in the water. Turn on your sound and watch this short video to learn how the process is done in Spotify.

Here is a brief overview of the process
1. Choose the app you’d like to listen to. We will use Spotify for this example.

2. Open Spotify by clicking on the three white horizontal lines at the bottom of your screen and selecting the app. Sign in to your account.

3. Go to your library, which is located in the bottom-right corner, and select a playlist.

4. Download the playlist by pressing the Playlist Settings Icon "⋮" and selecting "Download".

5. Once your playlist is downloaded, test it out by playing it with your WiFi off. If your music plays while your WiFi is off, you're all set!

(Tip: You can turn your WiFi off by swiping down from the top of your screen until you see a volume slider, and selecting WiFi to turn it off. Then, you can swipe that screen away by putting your finger at the bottom of your screen and swiping upward. You can also turn it off by going back to your home screen and clicking the blue question mark to open the Help App > Open Android Settings > Network > WiFi > then toggling WiFi off at the top right.)

Wear & Use Reminders

  • Make sure to fully charge the Delphin first before completing the setup process
  • Delphin 3 is fully wireless charging only. Use the charging plate with a 3-amp charging brick.
  • Open your favorite playlist, audiobook, or podcast. Make sure it is paused for now.
  • Turn WiFi off on your Delphin to save battery.
  • Turn off your Delphin's screen by briefly tapping the power button.
  • Put on your goggles.
  • Clip your Delphin to the back of your goggles strap.
  • Put in your Swimbuds headphones, making sure to run the headphone cables underneath your goggles strap on both sides.
  • Plug your headphones into your Delphin and press the play button!

Wear Instructions

  • Open your favorite playlist, audiobook, or podcast. Make sure it is paused for now.
  • Turn WiFi off on your Delphin to save battery.
  • Help App (Blue Question Mark) > Open Android Settings > Network > WiFi 
  • Turn off your Delphin's screen.
  • Put on your Swimbuds HydroActive headphones.
  • Put on your goggles.
  • Clip your Delphin to the back of your goggles strap.
  • Plug your headphones into your Delphin and press the PLAY button!

Care Tips

Rinse and Dry

  • After each swim, turn off the Delphin and remove the headphones from the headphone jack.
  • Using fresh water, rinse off the Delphin, including the inside of the headphone jack, as well as the headphones. This will help get any chlorine or salt off.
  • Gently shake the water out of the headphone jack.
  • Lightly pat dry the Delphin and headphones. Let them air-dry for at least 8 hours.

Charging and Storage

  • Allow the Delphin to fully dry before charging.
  • Only charge as needed, and only for 3-4 hours maximum.
  • If your Delphin will be in storage for long periods of time, we recommend charging your device up to 40-80% battery once a month while not in use.
  • Store in a cool, dry place.
