first let me say I swim 3-5 miles a week. I had a FINIS Duo Underwater Bone Conduction MP3 Player. It was extremely time consuming changing my music to MP3 format. Early on it froze, I sent it back for repair, and it died not too long afterwards (a different company with the worst customer service I have ever experienced). So then I bought the iPod shufffle and loved it. easier to use and easier to transfer music. However I have gone through 2 of them in the last 3 or 4 years. They just eventually die. Apple and underwater audio are discontinuing the shuffle. So the other option is an MP3 player, which we have already established is a pain in the neck or the delphin. So I bought a delphin. Extremely easy to transfer my music from the web site they give you for that purpose. However, I was unable to control the volume from the buttons on top of the device that you were suppose to hold for three seconds. I called customer service, which by the way is always the best customer service I have ever used. They are friendly, patient and helpful. However, the engineers told them when they could not figure it out either that that function is no longer available. So the only way to adjust the sound is to set it ahead of time and leave it at that level. There is no adjusting it during your swim. So the young lady told me to try it and if I didn't like it I could return it. I have to say it certainly has superior sound. However, the touch screen is not very sensitive, and the some of the things you need to touch are so small no matter what you do your finger is way too large and it doesn't respond (I have a glove size small), so I have found really the only way to use the device is to use the stylus that comes with it. So, if you set it ahead of time is great, just don't plan on adjusting it while swimming. They say there is a second generation coming out and that is the only reason I am writing this so they can hear what needs to be fixed. I left my phone number to talk to them in private, but was told it would be passed on but the engineers really don't call customers. I do like this company and when they get the bugs worked out this will be a great player. I am keeping mine for now because there really aren't many good alternatives that are not MP3s, I have only used it twice. The sound is fabulous though.
